Fairy Gift Box + Tutorial

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a tutorial for a gift box made with The Fairy Pack…
First of all I took 2 pieces of cardstock measuring 8” x  8” & 9 ½” x 4”

Score the square cardstock at 2.5” on all sides, cut on the 2 score lines on both sides till the horizontal score line as shown above & fold on the score lines. For the long cardstock score at 3 ½” on both sides & fold.
Next I folded the box piece & decorated both the pieces with pattern paper from the Fairy Pack.

Glue down the box to one side of the long piece as shown.
Now to make the closure attach a piece of ribbon on the top & bottom of the lid with strong adhesive & then decorate with pattern papers.
I decorated the box with chipboards, lace trim & handmade flowers.
I colored the chipboard piece with metallic copper watercolor from gansai tambi watercolor set. You can see the lovely shine in the picture below.

Hope you like my tutorial & will give it a try…
Thanks for visiting…  J

GDT for Craft Adda

Hello friends,
I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Craft Adda Blog.
Thanks Khyati for giving me this opportunity.
I have made few cards using Always Yours Stamp set along with some stencils & embossing powders from Craft Adda

For the first card I used  Always Yours stamp set with CraftTangles Floral Pattern Stencil. I die cut a rectangle  piece of cardstock, inked it using CraftTangles Floral Pattern Stencil & stamped the image with Black Archival ink. I again stamped the image on a piece of watercolor paper, colored & fussy cut it. I carefully aligned & glued the colored image on the card front using foam adhesive.
I also covered the stamped heart with 3D Crystal Lacquer to add some interest.

For the second card I made it a masculine love card. I die cut a rectangle  piece of cardstock & inked it using CraftTangles Argyle stencil twice, once with a dark grey ink & again shifting it a little so that the stencil opening was on the white  portion of the cardstock & inked with light grey ink. The sentiment from Always Yours stamp set was stamped on a smaller die cut & I added few rhinestones to finish the card.

For my third card I used the sentiment 'you are my SUNSHINE' from Always Yours stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on a decorative circle die with versamark ink & heat embossed it using CraftTangles Gold Embossing Powder. I inked some sun rays coming from the top half of the sentiment die cut. For the bottom half I used CraftTangles Moroccan Stencil with Orange ink. I made the gold border with CraftTangles Gold Embossing Powder to match the sentiment. I added some pearls as finishing touch.

For my fourth & last card I started with inking my card front with grey ink & CraftTangles Moroccan Stencil. I kept the darker colors towards the center & let the color fade out towards the edges. Next I took 3 die cut rectangles. I inked two of them of the same size with  CraftTangles Dots Stencil &  CraftTangles Honeycomb Stencil & pink ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Always Yours stamp set on the 3rd one & inked its edges with grey ink. I glued all the 3 panels down on the card front as shown & added some rhinestones, I colored in the heart with pink marker & covered it with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

The Always Yours stamp set is fabulous & I had so much fun playing with it & pairing it with all the stencils to create  my cards. I hope you like them.

Moon Fairy Card

Hello friends & welcome to So Suzy Stamps inspiration post
I have a card for today made with Moon Fairy stamp. Scroll down for the tutorial...

I started with die cutting a frame using 2 oval dies. I also cut one piece of white cardstock with the scalloped oval frame only ( not in the pic). I die cut a piece of white cardstock with a lacy border die to layer on my card base.
Next I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the  Moon Fairy on the oval card stock with black archival ink.
I inked the die cut using Clarity Brushes, distress inks & stencil.
For the background I used iStencil - 27-00149, distress ink & Clarity Brushes & gave it an ombre effect fading towards the die cut border. These stencils are so easy to line-up for repeated inking.
Here is my final assembled card. I inked the oval frame & glued it on top of the stamped piece. Added a little green color on the card base & glued everything in place. I also added some pearls.
Hope you like my card...

So Suzy Blog Hop

Hello friends & welcome to So Suzy Stamps Blog Hop

I have a card for today's blog hop made with Rose Bloom & Flair And Laughter stamps. Scroll down for the tutorial...
I started with stamping the  Rose Bloom stamp on vellum with versamark ink & heat embossed it using Ranger superfine silver embossing powder. At this point I was not sure of the design or color scheme so I stamped several times.
Next I colored the images with Spectrum noir markers. Below you can see the colors I used on my final card. Then I fussy cut the Rose Bloom stamp.
I used a die cut border & embossed cardstock on the top portion of the card. I wanted some color to show through the open spaces of the lacy die cut so I placed the border where I wanted it & marked the edges with pencil. Then I colored it in with the marker taking care to leave 1mm space between the pencil line & colored area so that the border looks neat after I glue down the border. Coloring like this also helped me to avoid any extra bulk & a lot of fussy cutting. Never mind the uneven coloring because it will be hidden behind the border.
Now it was time to glue everything down. I also added some pearls to jazz it up...
Now I used  Mini MISTI to stamp Flair And Laughter stamp since I didn't want to ruin all the work that went in the card at last step...
After stamping I decided to use Metallic Silver Nuvo Crystal Drops around the sentiment...
Here are some close-ups of the finished card...

Hope you like my card...
Thank you for visiting today....
